Macintosh Support Specialist in Boston, MA

Contract to permanent opportunity: Experienced Macintosh support person needed to support Boston branch of a larger company. Responsibilities include maintaining all computer hardware; integrating hardware and software and maintaining software and hardware inventory and reports; support users by handling user problems/requests regarding software/hardware; installation, configuration, and upgrades of desktop systems; maintain software configuration for the network and propagate modifications to all machines; troubleshooting, repair, and monitor equipment performance and documents findings.

Experience: Expert in hardware installation and configuration on Macintosh platform; experience with hardware configuration on Unix platform; working knowledge of applications: OSX & OS9x , MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, FileMaker Pro, Eudora, Quark, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign & InCopy; ability to understand file server hierarchy and individual folder setup on the Macintosh desktop; ability to work independently; Works effectively with others; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities to help others; shares knowledge and information willingly and openly.
