Sr. Linux & Solaris Engineer in Boston, MA

Unix/Linux Engineer
Experience running Redhat Linux AS2.1, AS3.0, RHEL 4, and Solaris 2.8, 2.9 and 10.

Ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Documentation and process skills are a must for documenting project work for knowledge transfer within the group as well as for Operational Support. Trouble shooting and project Management skills are also required to support technology changes/improvements driven by the business.

Software experience desired:
- Linux and Solaris
- Building Solaris servers with jumpstart
- Configuration Management and Provisioning
- Building servers with Kickstart
- Building custom boot images for Kickstart for standard hardware configurations
- Working with custom drivers/modules
- Building Sun packages and Linux RPMs
- Veritas Foundation Suite
- SSH, Sudo, Samba
- Linux and Solaris Security
- Management tools

Server Hardware experience should include IBM xSeries, Sun Microsystems SunFire (Sparc and AMD), Egenera BladeFrame. Familiarity with SAN architecture utilizing EMC DMX and IBM ESS.

Other skills required, but not necessary, are Veritas NetBackup, Autosys, CA Unicenter, LDAP, and IBM Director.
