Systems Architect in Boston, MA

Responsibilities:
- Provide primary support for the production SharePoint environment, including rotating 24/7 on-call support;
- Work with the team responsible for evolving application infrastructure architecture, installation of patches and upgrades, configuration management, and administration of the IIS, SharePoint/.NET, SQL Notification Services/Reporting Services and MSMQ infrastructure in development, test, and production environments;
- Analyze and troubleshoot application system problems and determine root causes; develop solutions, such as new configurations, software, or scripts, as required to mitigate future occurrences;
- Work with MSFT Support to debug and resolve issues pertaining to IIS, SharePoint/.Net, SQL Notification Services, SQL Reporting Services and MSMQ
- Develop and maintain detailed architectural documents for SharePoint/.Net based applications, components, and interface specifications, along with detailed documentation describing implementation plans and operational procedures;
- Facilitate and participate in the formal documentation and communication of the environment
- Work with team on the development of standards, processes, and procedures related to IIS and SharePoint/.NET security, upgrade management, capacity planning, application deployment, failover, and disaster recovery;
- Provide application deployment support, and additions and changes to SharePoint/.NET environments
Qualifications:

- Well balanced Technical, client service and client expectation management skills
- Prior experience with Lead and Project Management responsibilities is preferred
- Extensive, hands-on, experience with architecture and administration of IIS, SharePoint/.NET, SQL Notification Services/Reporting Services and MSMQ infrastructure, Clustering and high availability configuration, and disaster recovery.
- Prior hands-on and functional knowledge of W2K3 and Windows 2000 OS Fundamentals
- Strong SPS/WSS 2003 administration, including backup/restore, DR scenarios, etc.
- Working experience with .NET Profiling tools like Compuware Vantage.
- Working experience with SharePoint/.NET monitoring/profiling tools like BMC Patrol and Microsoft Operations Manager
- Ability to use programming & scripting languages including but not limited to Perl, C# and .Net
