Business Systems Analyst (10490) in Boston, MA

We are currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Boston, MA. This position is appropriate for a recent college graduate Job Responsibilities In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing, administering, and supporting various modules of the Lawson ERP System, as well as ancillary responsibility for development and support of other financial applications within a team environment. We seek a capable professional who will facilitate initiatives including interacting with the vendor and customer in an effort to design solutions. To succeed, one must possess strong communications skills and experience dealing with conflicting priorities. Required Skills:

Ability to translate high-level specifications for software components into designs and implement the designs.

Knowledge of planning, conducting and coordinating programming application activities.

Some experience with analysis, design and implementation of business application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business problems, questions or processes.

Ability to develop statements of problems and requirements, design systems and programs (write code).

Some knowledge of computer hardware and software subject matter to apply to programming in business applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

Ability to classify problems as system, training, or process and recommend corrections.

Ability to provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements

Knowledge to facilitate the review of system test plans and system test modules before implementation as well as the review of end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, and training materials) for accuracy.

Strong communication skills, enabling contribution to project plans in conjunction with other account team associates.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Desired Skills:

Experience/Interest in Lawson ERP system

Experience/Interest in 4GL development

Experience/Interest in MicroFocus COBOL

Experience/Interest in SQL development

Healthcare industry experience a plus
