Jr. Programmer/Analyst in Boston - Contract position with the possibility of going Full Time.

Excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic Information Technology Department as a Junior Programmer/Analyst with heavy emphasis on SQL Server and its reporting platform. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in Office automation (i.e. Excel macros) and/or.Net web development. This is a 3-month contract engagement with a potential to turn into a full-time opportunity.

Experience: Candidates must possess 2-4 years of relevant experience in the following areas:

SQL Server 2000/05

Writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views

Querying remote servers

Creating tables/indexes/constraints

Creating/managing/deploying DTS packages

Creating/managing/deploying ISS packages

Report writing

SQL 2000/2005 report writer

Crystal Reports

Eagle Reports (preferred)

Programming platforms:

VB.Net

Scripting

ASP

VBScript

JavaScript

WSH

VA/VBA

Excel macros (very important)

Word automation

VB 6.0

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable degree required. Individuals must be detailed-oriented, an analytical thinker and independent problem solver, multi-tasker who can work in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a contributed team player.
