Network Administrator in Boston, MA

Our client, a major Architectural firm in Boston is seeking a Network Administrator. We are seeking someone with a high degree of technical knowledge related to server hardware ands software.

Job Requirements
Infrastructure Network Administrator will be a hands on manager of Windows 2000/2003 servers, networking and Cisco VoIP system. This position is responsible for keeping all IT systems (servers, internet access, network fabric, backup connectivity and recovery, etc…) healthy, connected and operational to support the firm’s business needs.

Hands on experience in supporting complex environments are required. Should have managed and should be able to perform as a role model to junior staff.

Create and manage standards for server environment to include hardware and software configurations.

Network Administrator will work closely with the department members to engineer solutions and support standards that are transparent to users. Provide problem diagnosis and resolution for hardware and software related problems as required, in a timely and accurate way. Develop and participate in ongoing, proactive support, including optimization and scheduled maintenance. This person is committed to a support culture that delivers timely and courteous customer service.

Prior experience with desktop environment integrations involving Cisco VoIP system, operating systems, applications, support, file sharing, etc. is required.

Skills Required
5-7 Years of design, implementation, configuration, and support of enterprise services such as (e.g. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, SNMP, TFTP). Knowledge and experience with enterprise software, deployment, Lotus E-mail, Legato and comparable applications. Experience working with a medium size firm 200-400 employees supporting Windows Active Directory LDAP, NIS, and a Cisco networking environment as well as Server 2003 experience.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
