Desktop Support Analyst in Boston, MA

One of our clients, a leader in the technology industry responsible for Internet and multimedia programs used to confront health areas such as pharmaceutical risk management, substance abuse and college health.

They have an immediate need for a Desktop Support person to be part of their cutting edge IT team. This is a dream job for anyone who is interested in working with the latest technology Windows has to offer.

99% of their Systems are running Microsoft Vista. They already have plans for upgrading to the Windows Servers 2008 in the near future.

In this role as a Desktop Support consultant you will be responsible for:
- Supporting 70 users (3 offsite) - resolving all troubleshooting issues ranging from basic password resets to setting up new users with Active Directory.
- Supporting users Blackberry
- Assisting with the back up systems and tape drives, firewalls and VPN.
- Building, configuration, installation, maintenance of Windows XP & Vista desktops & laptops.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, mechanical and equipment problems
- Must have a basic understanding of Active Directory, VPN, .Net, SQL, HTML.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience working in a small to mid size environment supporting end users over the phone and desk side.
