May perform one or more of the following:



Works under general supervision

Leads system and user acceptance testing with client involvement

Provides guidance and assistance to testing staff

Oversees creation and implementation of testing plan

Participates in testing, across multiple project organizations to meet multiple requirements (i.e. functional, stress, endurance, integration, etc.).

Develop test case scenarios for unit, system, integration, user acceptance, and parallel testing.

Document testing results including incorporation of appropriate artifacts

Document defects and track them through successful resolution

Responsible for the creation of testing deliverables (i.e. approaches, plans, cases, results, metrics)

Travel as needed (% dependent on project)

Degree preferred, but significant experience can substitute

Experience with Medicaid or Healthcare processing systems desired, especially in the area of Claims processing, Provider or Reference

Experience with HIPAA transaction processing

ICD9 and 10 Code orientation

Familiarity with project work plan software, and tracking systems

Prior experience with iterative development projects and/or RUP methodology

Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the healthcare field

Knowledge of the full development lifecycle, testing large-scale development projects

Experience in a data processing development/operation environment

Testing environment experience and knowledge

Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team

Must have an excellent ability to communicate (both verbal and written) with both technical and non-technical staff and clients

Strong deadline and task management skills

Sound discretionary judgment skills

Background in Quality Control, Testing, and/or Validation of large-scale software development projects

Experience with automated testing tools (Segue, Rational, Golden, Mercury, etc.).

Experience working in a structured project management environment

Experience with an object-oriented design project

Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL)

Knowledge of accurately reporting and tracking defects throughout the development life cycle

Strong analysis skills

Prior experience interfacing with customers
