Job Responsibilities:
The installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Windows Server Environment including high availability Exchange and SQL Server clusters. Designing, implementing and administrating Windows Servers including Windows NT, 2000 and 2003. In addition to troubleshooting and problem resolution for operating system and hardware issues, the Windows System Administrator also works on upgrades and new system planning and implementation. The position requires participating in a rotating on-call support. The Windows System Administrator should be able to manage multiple projects.
Required Skills:
- 3 years Windows Server administration including NT, 2000, and 2003; Solid knowledge of networking
- Active Directory Services design, implementation, and management
- Exchange 2000/2003 configuration and management
- Security assessment, auditing and patching
- Troubleshooting and maintaining server hardware including RAID controllers. Backup and recovery
- Group policy management
- System tuning and monitoring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- Strong conceptual and logical abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively utilizing work and project plans to meet deadlines
- Good customer service and teamwork skills will be essential
