Our client, a leading financial software developer located in downtown Boston, is looking for an energetic and motivated Application/Technical Support professional to join their growing team. Their software components and applications are designed to meet the needs of today's leaders in the financial community here and abroad.

The Mid-Level Application/Technical Support person will play a key role in the maintenance/client services team. We are looking for a dynamic support/service engineer to help in supporting existing applications and to help with troubleshooting client issues. A willingness to learn and desire to succeed will be essential in the successful candidate for this position. You should also enjoy interacting with the internal development team and customers as well as working independently in fast-paced environment.
Experience: - 2-3 years experience in the construction and running of simple to complex SQL statements
- 1-2 years experience with 1 or more databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server…) and their development tools
- 1 year's experience with a scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, Unix Shell Scripts, Batch files, etc.)
- Ability to read & write a structured programming language (Java, C++, etc.)
- 1-2 years experience working in a Technical Support / Customer Service role
- Experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, and/or WebSphere
- BA/BS in Computer Science or the equivalent
