As the Manager of Quality Assurance, you will not only be a leader on the QA team, but a lead for all ongoing projects with a focus on the delivery of various testing related initiatives. The QA Manager should have previous QA management experience, a strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and best practices, and be very familiar with the delivery of large scope software projects. Rapidly assimilate and gain project knowledge, resulting in focus into testing issues, testing scope and potential project risks from a testing perspective. The creation and execution of test plans for all ongoing projects and the continued maintenance of those documents. Understand and become involved with all phases of the project's testing effort (unit, integration, functional, regression, automation, system/acceptance, load, performance). Participate in a cross-functional group within the overall product team, representing the QA effort and advising on project issues, risks and scheduling matters. Apply knowledge from prior projects on automated and performance testing strategy and execution Collaborate with the project manager to determine the scope of the remaining testing effort resulting in plans, schedules and implementation of testing projects. Review and work towards defect removal activities and goals with development teams prior to QA releases Communicate with project testing staff in a team environment providing clear and timely information regarding project status, issues, proposed solutions, and any other necessary information sharing. Participate in technical evaluation of test tools that could provide tangible benefit to the testing effort. 3+ years experience in Software QA/Testing Management and Team Leadership Understanding of Object-Oriented testing methodologies. GUI concepts, maps and data-driven test script methods. Experience in producing program level metrics for test case coverage and defect workflow status. Excellent verbal and written communications. Demonstrated organizational skills with the (very necessary) ability to multi-task. Demonstrated strong time management skills. Demonstrated strong judgment. Ability to understand complex applications and business functions. Experience in leading and coordinating offshore teams. Desired Experience with Oracle technologies, SQL and Java. Strong mathematical background and analytical skills including use of statistical analysis. Experience with financial and content management systems. The ability to discern flexibility from compromise when it comes to SQA. Detail oriented and ready to advocate for business and/or customer impact in an impartial way.
