Database Administrator in Boston, MA

Responsibilities:
Evaluates, designs, implements and maintains complex database applications. Performs complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problem. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Completes and maintains security and integrity controls. Prepares program documentation of product components. Prepares the mining, processing, analyzing and interpreting data and information from large databases or warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Refers complex, unusual problems to others. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

Education:
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge on Remedy version 7 is desired with a strong understanding of the Remedy CMDB database structure. Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organizations business practices and issues. Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
