Litigation Support Specialist in BOSTON, MA

The Litigation Support Specialist will work in the firm?s litigation support department assisting legal staff with all of their technology needs. In addition to working to load and configure litigation databases, the Litigation Support Specialist will provide end-user support on litigation technology applications. The Litigation Support Specialist will also assist in analyzing data coming into the firm and assist with creating and producing litigation data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Assist in maintaining the firm?s litigation databases in Summation, including creating load files, loading data, performing global replaces, customizing fields and forms, and creating production sets. ? Provide end-user support for litigation support technology, especially Summation. ? Troubleshoot technical issues with litigation support applications in conjunction with users and other technical staff. ? Scan small to mid-size document collections and prepare for loading into Summation. ? Manipulate and clean-up text and other data files. ? Provide pre-trial and trial support for litigation teams, including a/v setup and use of trial technology. ? As a member of the firm?s technology team, work to develop, plan and implement new technology projects and help ensure the efficient operation of the firm?s technology. ? Function as a key member of a small technology team dedicated to providing first-class support in a fast-paced but friendly environment. Experience: ? 2+ years of experience in litigation technology. ? Expert knowledge and experience with Summation required. ? Knowledge of and experience with litigation support packages including Trial Director, Concordance, LAW, Adobe Acrobat and text editors. ? Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Access and an understanding of how relational databases are structured a plus. ? Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. ? Ability and willingness to interact in a friendly and effective manner with all levels of personnel, including attorneys, legal assistants and other support personnel. ? Excellent oral and written communication skills. ? Ability to work as a member of a small technology team ? Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks. ? Independent task management, excellent organizational skills, and acute attention to detail are required. ? Bachelors Degree preferred. ? Prior experience as a litigation paralegal preferred.
