JOB SUMMARY: The .NET Developer is responsible for gathering, translating, and developing business requirements into software solutions. The qualified candidate should have strong analytical and technical skills, and will be involved in all phases of the development life cycle from analysis to implementation as well as a strong financial services background. The incumbent should be proficient in object-oriented development techniques and relational database technologies, as well as have an understanding of project management principles, systems integration, and testing/deployment principles.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Creation of functional, technical, and design specification documents - Ability to devise creative and scalable software solutions to address business needs/challenges - Develop, test, and deploy traditional client/server and n-tiered systems utilizing current and upcoming technologies - Adhere to development/coding standards and identified technical best practices - Support and maintain existing production software systems and processes - Participate in project status meetings with internal and external audiences - Provide timely status updates to project managers and team members - Ability to work effectively as an individual, as well as part of a team

QUALIFICATIONS: - 4-6 years of experience as a software developer/engineer - Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Visual Basic, VB. Note: This field is limited to 2,000 characters. The rest of this position description will be found at the beginning of the qualifications field.NET, C#.NET, XML, SQL, Perl, etc. Practical .NET development/implementation experience required - Strong database development skills (especially with Oracle and SQL Server) - Experience gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements Knowledge of reporting/analytical tools, such as Crystal Reports, Business Objects, etc. Familiarity with imaging and scanning/OCR solutions a plus - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills / - Ability to work in a cross-functional project team environment - Ability to multi-task and be flexible with changing priorities.
