Production Support Analyst in Boston, MA

Position overview

The Production Support Analyst is responsible for supporting Acadian's automated data feeds and the systems that handle those feeds. A major initial responsibility of this position will be the migration of scheduled jobs to an enterprise scheduler. This person will work in coordination with Investment Processes and Databases team to troubleshoot data feed related production issues.

Responsibilities also include resolving problems in Acadian's investment management production systems, 24/7 production systems monitoring, and deployment coordination in a primarily Windows 2003 Server environment.

This person will also be involved in project implementation including capacity planning and documentation.

Responsibilities

.Root cause problem analysis and repair for all Acadian automated data feeds.
.Implementation of an enterprise scheduling system. Position has primary responsibility for the growth and maintenance of the system going forward.
.Support the release management process with focus on data feeds in conjunction with the Investment Processes and Data group
.Provide technical support for applications that serve the Investment Management business function. Maintain and monitor the operation and integrity of production systems.
.Ensure that all production changes and releases of in-house and third party applications are processed according to Change Management policies and procedures.
.Act as a technical liaison with outside vendors. Validate and implement the systems infrastructure of IT application projects.
.Other duties as assigned.

Experience: Qualifications
This person must have a strong production support or technical data analyst background with at least 3 years of experience and a progressive career path. An understanding of server hardware architecture and Windows networking is expected. The ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions and direct their implementation is essential. A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking on more than one deliverable.

Core technologies (expertise expected):
.3+ years experience in a Production Support/Technical Data Analyst position in a financial services company.
. Windows 2000/2003 Server
. Microsoft SQL Server
. Enterprise job scheduling systems (such as Autosys, Tidal, Activebatch)
. Scripting

Secondary technologies (mastery or familiarity with preferred):
.Financial services applications such as: Aegis Barra, trade order management systems, Reuters/Bloomberg data feeds, Zacks, IBES, FactSet, StatPro, MarketQA, LatentZero

. Windows / UNIX security
. IIS
. TCP/IP networks

A Bachelor's degree is required and A+ certification is a plus.
