JAR or JAD Business System Analyst in Boston, MA

Our client is seeking to find a full time JAR or JAD Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for their Boston location.

The position is full-time and located in Boston.



The BSA will act as the primary interface to business and technology managers to facilitate the completion of requirements for technology projects. The BSA will support the successful delivery of technology projects throughout the project lifecycle.



Responsibilities include:



o Coordinate and publish business systems requirements (Systems Prospectus) using Use Cases and other standard requirements gathering techniques.

o Facilitate JAR sessions with broad business and technology participation.

o Create and communicate ideas to solve business problems arising from analysis of requirements.

o Manage resolution of complex problems and issues. Convey a sense of urgency and ensure timely resolution of critical path decisions.

o Develop and manage project plans. Create requirements phase timeline/milestones.

o Provide clarification of requirements during design and development project phases.

o Support user and system testing processes.

o Provide subject-matter expertise regarding lifecycle methodology and requirements gathering techniques.

o Provide estimates for project participation.

Qualifications

o At least 5 years of project experience with demonstrated ability to lead business systems requirements documentation in a matrixed environment
o Must have previous exp with JAR sessions or (alternative: experience with JAD is ok).

o At least 2 years of financial services experience, preferably in a mutual funds or brokerage environment



o Knowledge of web and backend financial processing systems

o Expert ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing

o Strong subject-matter expertise in project lifecycle methodology

o Strong technical aptitude

o Strong multi-tasking skills

o Ability to establish collaborative relationships with project team

o Excellent organization and time management skills

o Demonstrates ability to manage change and adjust priorities as needed

o Drives for results and success
