As an Investment Performance Lead System Analyst, you will be responsible for requirements, systems analysis, testing, and project management for new projects and enhancement initiatives supporting investment performance measurement, performance attribution, benchmark maintenance, performance composites, and client cash flows. You will have a high level of direct interaction with the business users. Initially, you will lead projects and eventually lead a staff.



Reports to: Principal, Performance Systems



Duties/Responsibilities



  • Interact with investment professionals to proactively identify opportunities for new and improved systems


  • Work with business partners to define, analyze, and document requirements


  • Document functional specifications for new systems and enhancements


  • Coordinate the work of systems analysts, software developers, database architects, and data vendors to design and implement robust technical solutions


  • Coordinate project tasks across multiple Information Systems groups.


  • Plan and perform functional testing of new systems and enhancements


  • Provide ongoing support including issue tracking and status reporting


  • Work with business partners to prioritize support needs

Required Background/Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline


  • 10+ years of work experience in a financial services technology environment


  • 5+ years experience developing or supporting investment applications


  • Strong systems analysis skills at the Lead level


  • Strong understanding of investment processes, securities, analytics, and market data services


  • Demonstrated experience in project management and business analysis for medium to large initiatives


  • Demonstrated experience in formal software development methodologies


  • A CFA or demonstrated progress towards a CFA




Major Pluses to have



  • Experience developing or supporting performance measurement or attribution systems


  • Exposure to any of the following Back Office Applications:
