The role of the Senior Systems Support Engineer is to architect, implement, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure required for the company to be a world-class Application Service Provider. Additionally, the role is responsible for supporting the companys clients in the operations and use of the companys services.

The responsibilities of the Senior Systems Support Engineer are:

Description of Major Responsibilities

1) Operations
Support start of day processing of companys customer information
2) Develop and implement production control infrastructure
Evaluate and implement software to monitor system and network health
Support companys FIX infrastructure
Implement, deploy, and maintain production control scripts and software
Monitor company service level compliance
3) Partner and Customer relations
Interface with counter-parties to implement network connectivity
Provide reports to management and clients on system and network health
Support management in maintaining licensing requirement including procurement
Evaluate and recommend products
4) Support Client Services
Deploy and configure company software
Support Clients with use of company software
Resolve problems with production technical issues
5) Ensure data integrity and security
Support firewall and intrusion detection infrastructure
Monitor backups to ensure data recoverability
6) On-call support
Provide 24 hour on-call support on a periodic basis to troubleshoot issues related to the company ASP and company IMS.
7) Maintain documentation of the production control environment
Develop and maintain operational procedures Run-books
Maintain an accurate list of serial numbers, etc. for all production software and hardware

Description of Shared Responsibilities

1) Support corporate users
Identify user requirements
Troubleshoot and train user community as required
Investigate and recommend new solutions to enhance productivity
2) IT Support
Perform hardware installations and upgrades when required.
Support telephony environment
Support physical facilities environment

The person in this role must be flexible and provide technical support and expertise on an as-needed basis wherever management believe that a technical gap may exist.

Required Systems Skills

Must be an expert in Microsoft Windows system administration (5 to 7 years experience)
Working knowledge of Internet Information Server (3 to 5 years)
Working knowledge of SQL Server (3 to 5 years)
Expert in implementing layer 2 and layer 3 networks (5 to 7 years experience)
Working knowledge of Dell Server and Network hardware
Working knowledge of Cisco network equipment
Understanding of IPSec and various security technologies

Other Skills

Must be a motivated and focused individual
Expert in working with FIX networks (3 to 5 years experience)
Working knowledge of trade order management systems (1 to 2 years experience)
Working knowledge of the investment management process (1 to 2 years experience)
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a methodical fashion
Must have excellent organizational and communications skills
