system financial analyst in Boston, MA

The primary responsibility for this Product Analyst is to work with business partners and the systems development team in gathering requirements and detailing functional specifications. The Product Analyst will define and document the business requirements and detailed specifications for the financial tools to serve the business needs of our partners throughout Fidelity. The individual selected for this role will play a central role in defining what a product does and how it should work with use cases and detailed functional calculations and methodology.

The qualified candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate analysis and issue resolution across multiple systems and business groups.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

. Perform thorough impact analysis across applications

. Provide thorough research, analysis and fact finding to develop specifications and problem resolution.

. Conduct financial or investment product research as needed.

. Write clear and audience-aware documentation

. Prepare logic flow charts and review of technical specification and test plans for new products/services.

. Work within a small or large systems team and contribute independently.

. Initiative - Self-starter, ability to identify trends and act on this identification
. Influencing Skills - Employs collaborative approach to gain consensus and support for reporting needs; Understands organizational dynamics and adapts delivery to effectively navigate constraints

Required Experience / Education

. 3-5 years software development experience.

. Bachelor's degree in MIS/Computer Science or related field required.

. The ideal candidate will have financial software product development experience in the areas of personal finance and investing.

. Experience writing business requirements and systems design specifications.

. Advanced level of financial analysis skills.

. Knowledge of, and experience with development lifecycle phases preferred.

. Experience working in an eBusiness environment is desired.

. Experience with Visio, Powerpoint.
