73846 Application Support Engineer for Windows web-based and enterprise software.

- Provide customer technical support internally and externally.

- Must be technically savvy and good at unraveling mysteries, diagnosing and resolving issues and technical problems with enterprise and web-based software, networking, enterprise distributed software, web applications, hosted websites (all MS Internet technologies).

- Eager learner required, motivated by accomplishment, someone who regularly reads up on technology, who will learn all the technology in our environment, who will read up on latest and greatest technology we could be utilizing ourselves.

- Ambitious to move up the technical knowledge and reporting chain. In addition to supporting customers, also support the services, sales and product support teams.

- Strong technical project management taking responsibility for resolution, recognizing when something doesnt seem right, knows when to escalate or ask for help, to say 'this is what it would take to get this resolved'.

- Projects may include complex resolutions, implementation management, working with QA to design post-install testing. Recommend new hardware, software, disaster recovery products technologies company can leverage with the software.

- May be the company's point person for interacting with vendor RSA Security on scheduled upgrades, best practices, utilization, etc.

REQUIRES:

- Very knowledgeable about Microsoft Operating Systems, MS application technologies, MS Office software suite, server admin, experience in troubleshooting in dot.net, ASP.net, VB, etc.

- Understand networking and Internet technologies, browser interactions with client desktop software, etc.

- Experience configuring and troubleshooting software and web technologies, some Windows server platform administration experience, preferably 2000/2003.

- Bachelor's Degree.

PLUSES:

- RSA server side security software knowledge is very strong plus, especially RSA hardware tokens and authentication.

- ALSO a PLUS: any SQL, Javascripting, VB, dot.net scripting skills.

SUPPORTED SOFTWARE: thin client, web-based and enterprise software products that interact with customer applications such as various interactive mail clients such as Notes or Outlook, hosting customer webpages for large Fortune 1000 corporate customers, webcasting, dealing with realtime streaming audio, eventually video, capture data and stream it out to Internet, etc.

CUSTOMER BASE: primarily Financial Services / Investor Relations departments in large corporations and institutional investment clients.
