74069 This is a great opportunity for a Notes Administrator to pick up some new skills. The Lotus Notes System Administrator is responsible for managing Lotus Notes infrastructure. The Administrator is also responsible for the performance of the Notes environments; implementing applicable system upgrades and administers all user accounts activities: ACL, replication, backup, and calendaring. The Administrator will be responsible for applying application patches and for the coordination of OS/DB level patches with the database administrator. The Administrator must respond promptly to end user requests and help with and resolve mail, calendar, Notes application, and WebSphere related issues. S/he must be familiar with syncing a variety of PDA mail and calendar applications with a Notes environment. In addition, the Administrator will be responsible for managing an inventory of Notes applications, licensing, regular performance reports, support for application enhancements and antivirus and spam management. Responsible for the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, implementation and support of Lotus Notes Domino server and Windows NT/2003 operating systems and server hardware.
Responsible for support of BlackBerry Enterprise Server integrated with Domino server and installing Server hardware, configuring network components and RAID devices on servers running Domino.
Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Notes /Domino Server, Notes client, and Notes -based applications in support of business processing. Maintain journal and archive databases; monitor and tune systems to insure maximum performance; back-up and restore databases and migration to latest version and apply the approved enhancements.
Setup and manage disaster recovery functionality for servers and applications.
Responsible for maintaining user security profiles, migration of application software between development and production environments.
Develop detailed project plans relating to the design, testing, deployment and ongoing production support of technology infrastructure
Monitor and establish procedures to maximize productivity and to minimize the occurrence of errors; establish and meet service level agreements with clients; prepares status reports as requested.
Provide IBM WebSphere application server and portal administration/support for the systems.
Responsible for managing the application technology stack including: applying application patches and coordination of OS/DB level patches with the database administrator.
Provide user account administration including move, add, and change functions for users and groups.
Monitor Notes servers, databases, mail, web-mail to maintain system and server performances and perform capacity planning.
Assure that all Notes database files are being appropriately backed up and test restore periodically to ensure data files can be restored if necessary.
Monitor and assure that e-mail is a highly secure environment. This includes keeping anti-virus and spam filters up-to-date.
Provide maintenance and support for Notes applications and for Notes data interface extracts
Function as the Blackberry Administrator: rollout of devices, documentation, support and tracking.
Develop/implement a secure e-mail solution and standard security policies.
Troubleshoot, track, document and resolve internal and external mail, calendar, PDA synchronization and routing issues.
Recommend and perform periodic system up-grades as appropriate, assess new functionality and enhancements and prepare appropriate project documentation such as up-grade plans and project assessments.
Collaborate with users and/or contracted vendors to resolve, track and document any database or application related issues through resolution.
Support IT Change Management Processes.
Develop and complete monthly Notes Performance Reports and keep Notes operation handbook up-to-date.
Evaluate tools as necessary to better manage the e-mail, calendar & application environment.
Monitor and keep up-to-date status and activities of all requests logged and ensure the on-time delivery of performance reports.
Promptly address production control related issues and concerns and ensure all system outages or incidents are logged, resolved and followed-up through complete resolution.
