Summary
As a Senior SCADA Developer, you will provide expert solutions, development advice, and assistance to personnel and project teams whose missions are to design, develop, integrate, and facilitate the effective creation of IT business solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work independently with management in the review of end results, evaluate new technologies, and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet business objectives. You will also contribute to the achievement of departmental operational plans based on operational issues, service level agreements, and available resources.
REPORTS TO: SCADA Team Lead
Duties/Responsibilities
	Recommend business applications and technical solutions
	Provide technical expertise, guidance, and consultation to IT personnel and business users in the design, development, and implementation of major business systems
	Contribute to alignment of technical recommendations with business objectives by understanding the strategies and objectives of supported business units
	Use IT-industry recognized approaches, methodologies, and techniques specific to SCADA to deliver quality IT solutions
	Support the development of positive relationships with our business partners
	Support planning initiatives

Experience: Required Background/Experience
	Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline
	5+ years of extensive SCADA applications development and support experience
	Broad knowledge of SCADA development methodologies and the capabilities and limitation of technologies and programming tools
	Meter application package maintenance and operations experience using ITRON MV90, Premier 4, Transaction Management Systems (TMS), and RouteSmart
	Applications development experience using VB.NET, HTML, Oracle (PL/SQL and Pro C),  JavaScript, and ASP.NET
	Exposure to ESRI ArcGIS
	Experience with Application Distribution integration using C++, MQ Series, and XML
	Knowledge of cost benefit analysis, business case development, process and data modeling, data warehouse design, data mart design, OLAP, and SQL
Major Pluses to Have
	Experience with SNC Lavalin Gen3 or Gen4 is a huge plus to have!
