Mac Tech for the Marketing Department (#8700355) in Boston, MA

Our direct client is seeking a MAC Tech for the Marketing Dept of their organization. Must have OSX experience!! This is a 12+month contract (with the option to convert), and is in downtown Boston, supporting Sr level users within a large multi-national organization. Marketing Department: - Setup and configuration of all Macs in department, including software and hardware installations and User training, if applicable. - Setup Users Exchange e-mail accounts utilizing Microsoft Outlook on User workstations. - Repair of all Macs and Mac peripherals, including software and hardware repair. - Contact Apple for any in-warranty repairs and follow through repair cycle. - Maintain AppleCare database and all purchases-related paperwork in accordance with processes and policies. - Maintain database of all software and hardware installed and location of all Mac related computer assets. - Monitor all software and hardware updates and maintain update schedule. - Report any new software updates to the Marketing Staff and work with management to implement approved updates. - Keep abreast of any/all pertinent bug reports from various web sites, particularly in regards to hardware and software incompatibilities. - Maintain and periodically review a log of any/all problems involving Macs in the department. - Work with Marketing staff on network IT matters. - Contribute written recommendations that would increase workflow, productivity, and/or computer stability. - Coordinate the installation, configuration and maintenance of Marketing Department printers with applicable IT groups. - Coordinate the ordering of new printer supplies including toner and fuser/drum assemblies for Marketing printers. - Setup and configure AV laptops for required presentations, and set up a spare Mac laptop for coordinator to use during the presentations. The Mac Tech may be required to be on-site during these presentations. The presentations may be on or off-site. There are about four presentations each month, and they vary in length. The Tech may also have to be present during any ?dry-runs? of these presentations as per the request of the presenter. - Keep inventory of spare hardware and coordinate with asset procurement to order additional Mac specific repair or maintenance items as necessary. - Attend departmental meetings as requested.
