Senior SAN Engineer in Boston, MA

71868 Progressive Boston based firm is looking for a SAN Engineer that wants to work for a growing company. They have great benefits and a very interesting working environment.

Responsibilities:

- Take ownership for installation, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of the firms storage, server, and core network environment.

- Primary management for storage infrastructure firmware including EMC SAN, EMC NAS, and direct-attached devices.

- Shared management of server operations, directory services, and core network services, including DNS, DHCP, IIS, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Enterprise level SAN architecture General knowledge of SAN architecture.

- Administration, configuration, management and monitoring or EMC Clariion and Celerra hardware and associated software.

- VMWare administration of a large ESX server farm plus several smaller farms in remote offices.

- Windows 2003, 2000,NT Server, Exchange 2000/3 administration, including DNS, WINS, DHCP, Active Directory, user account management, file and directory permissions; service pack application, monitoring servers/services.

- Backups: familiarity with various backup solutions, including tape, hard disk backups, offsite vaulting, etc. Legato Networker, Veritas Backup Exec, CommVault, Amerivault or similar software a plus.

- Must have either a BS or BA.

- Optional certifications: MCSE, CNE, or equivalent.

- 7+ years experience operating the following systems a corporate environment.
