As an Audiovisual Systems Engineer, you will work closely with end users, the real estate department, Audiovisual support personnel, third-party Audiovisual architecture and engineering firms, and vendors to design and evaluate audiovisual systems. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Client Technology Services group to integrate technology solutions in traditional Audiovisual installations within the desktop PC environment. Room designs are typically targeted to meeting and presentation rooms, video conferencing rooms, and auditoriums for applications, including presentations, interactive collaboration, video/audio conferencing, digital signage, streaming video, and master control centers. You will use a technology which is the convergence between IT and AV to create a collaborative and client-friendly technology environment.



Reports to:Team Leader, Audiovisual Services within Client Technology Services



Duties/Responsibilities



  • Engage in user, system, and support requirements gathering and analysis to provide design and architectural recommendations as it relates to Audiovisual systems


  • Design and develop audio, video, and data conferencing solutions using Audio, Video, and user-interface components including Crestron control systems


  • Install, test, and support Audio and Video control systems both on-site and remotely


  • Responsible for development, setup, testing, and maintaining equipment used for videoconferencing, audio conferencing, production equipment, integrated room systems, and special custom projects


  • Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, and test equipment and systems


  • Utilizing Tandberg Management Suite, provide support for global video conferencing installations and configurations


  • Create and maintain system and customization documentation for testing and validation of the Audiovisual systems


  • Help troubleshoot Level 3 Audiovisual support issues. Work with vendors as necessary to resolve issues


  • Ensure that the new media architecture meets the needs of the operational Audiovisual support group


  • Work with network topologies to review and recommend infrastructure changes to support an Audiovisual environment

Experience: Required Background/Experience



  • We are looking for Audiovisual engineers, NOT technicians. You must have Audiovisual architecture, design, and desktop integration experience


  • 10+ years of Audiovisual experience


  • 5+ years of experience in Audiovisual design and field implementation


  • Experience with Audiovisual engineering of physical space in a desktop environment including live meetings and collaboration tools


  • Demonstrated ability to read signal flows and line drawings


  • Solid foundation implementing and supporting Tandberg, Polycom, Extron, Crestron, and other Audiovisual technologies


  • Understanding of IP Networks




Major Pluses to have



  • Bachelor's Degree


  • CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification is a huge plus!

  • Knowledge of Crestron programming


  • Project management experience
