Project Manager/Healthcare in Boston, MA

Major Responsibilities: -Previous background in leading Healthcare IT projects is required, especially in working with the implementation and integration of a new customer product, outsourced vendors, and integration with application development and software packages. -Meets all Project Manager requirements, including PMP Certification. -Proven ability to build and maintain strong business partner relationships across multiple lines of business with sometimes competing requirements. -Proven ability to take over a project at any point in the Systems Development Lifecycle and successfully bring mandated projects to implementation on time, within budget, and to expected results. -Ability to lead a team with diverse technologies and applications, including Benefits, Claims, Enrollment, Call Center, and internet web-based member and provider online applications -Preferred to have past experience with bringing new healthcare products to market, especially related to Consumer Directed Healthcare products - FSA, HSA, HRA. Major Responsibilities: ? Lead major project implementations with particular focus on the delivery of solutions within healthcare using: Standard Methodology, Resource Evaluation, Project Planning, Project Administration, and Project Review & Analysis. ? Manage the activities of cross-functional teams/workgroups as assigned for projects and initiatives. ? Work closely with corporate management and strategic planning to maintain up-to-date knowledge of strategic business needs and direction. ? Manage business and technology risks associated with projects. ? Coordinate technology and implementation plans with other divisions and project areas. Qualifications: ? Strong negotiating, motivation, and facilitation skills. ? Extensive experience with project prioritization, planning, estimating, staffing, skills tracking, time reporting, measurement, resource negotiation and optimization, scope containment, issues management, and other related processes. ? Broad understanding of information technology and its usage. ? Ability to manage large scale development and implementation projects. ? Ability to identify and manage risk. ? Ability to lead through the creation of innovative strategies, methods, and approaches. ? Strong interest and good comprehension of emerging and new technology. ? Strong understanding of budgeting and planning. ? Strong attention to detail, process, deadlines and quality results. ? Strong team player able to negotiate compromise. ? Proven track record of meeting project timeliness/deliverables Education/Relevant Experience: ? Bachelor degree or relevant experience required; MBA or MS degree a plus. ? Project Management Certification a requirement ? Experience in the healthcare in insurance industry a plus. ? Minimum 8-12 years project management/system implementation experience. ?
