My Metro Boston-based Client is looking for a bright, energetic, enthusiastic Senior/Principal Engineer to join their growing team. This engineer will join a group of 10 engineers and work hand-in-hand with talented Java and mobile developers. This is a cutting-edge mobile software company that offers their customers a turn-key solution for content distribution on mobile devices. They are really starting to take off and their are a number of very exciting projects that an engineer could immerse themselves in.

This person will be prototyping sites and researching emerging technologies.

Design and develop emerging functionality for their Media platform.

Qualifications:

- Strong background in Java and object oriented development.

- 3+ years of developing server side applications with Java.

- 4-12 years of overall experience in a professional environment.

- Experience with core Java technologies.

- Experience with Java Open Source Frameworks (Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Velocity, Tapestry, etc.) Experience with some of the previous is highly desired.

- Knowledge of XML/XSL related technologies.

- Experience with web services a plus.

- Experience with message oriented architectures a plus.

- Good understanding of RDBMS and SQL.

- WAP/WML/XHTML and other wireless technologies a plus.

- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

- Degree in Computer Science preferred.

Experience:

- Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise class server side applications in Java.

- Solid understanding of client/server concepts and programming techniques.

- Ability to architect software application from the front end to the back.

- Well versed in structured software development methodology.
