Business Analyst in Boston, MA

The Business Analyst is responsible for conducting workflow interviews with users at all levels of the organization, for gathering both business application and data requirements. The BA translates business needs into functional requirements to ensure the functional needs of business partners are met, ensuring that all systems support and conform to the specifications. The BA is responsible for adhering to a structured requirements process, interfacing with clients, developing detailed requirements documentation, and understanding the entire process in order to best support the development, testing, and business user training processes throughout the project life cycle. Primary Duties: ? Gathering and defining requirements from the business users by conducting workflow interviews. ? Creating detailed requirements documentation, including text, examples, and workflow and other diagrams where needed to facilitate understanding of the requirements. ? Analyzing current system and process to identify gaps; in context of new applications, developing workflow and requirements to close gaps. ? Contributing to high-level estimations of all aspects of project budgeting. ? Acquiring and imparting business knowledge to team. ? Assisting in completion and documentation of designs, both functional and technical. ? Providing expert knowledge on functionality of assigned application and workflow processes. ? Provide knowledge and support to QA and UAT teams throughout the process of testing application for workflow and functionality. Experience: Preferred candidates will possess some or all of the following qualifications: ? A Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent experience) ? 3+ years experience with business and data requirements ? 3+ years developing requirements around enterprise distributed and mainframe systems ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels of the corporate structure is essential. ?
