Sr. Unix System Admin in Boston, MA

Senior level UNIX knowledge particularly in Linux.
Previous experience with clustering software like Cluster LSF and job schedulers like MOAB is expected.
Experience with Linux features like Volume Management, maintenance using yum, the use of proxy servers, Knopic restores, and cluster management is a must.
Should be familiar with standard UNIX utilities that help make up a computing infrastructure including, DNS, NTP, DHCP, LDAP and IP Networking.
Experience with various hardware technologies is desired. This includes storage arrays, SANs, RAID, Fiber Channel, Infiniband, routers, switch, and high speed Ethernet. Also, a candidate should understand various computing technologies like SMP and MPP computing.
? Should be familiar with various file systems technologies like NFS, parallel file systems, journal file systems, GPFS, and cluster file systems. A candidate should be knowledgeable about these files systems and understand the advantages and performance of each.
? Should be familiar with backup technologies and recovery techniques for UNIX servers.
? Must have experience running production servers in a large scale data center. This should include experience with best practices like change control, the use of security firewalls, and monitoring.
? Should be familiar with advanced debugging techniques in UNIX/Linux. This should include tracing and dumping application on various UNIX/Linux operating systems. Also, interacting with various vendors hardware and software support infrastructure.
? Previous experience as a project lead is desirable.
Experience with scripting is desired. Some experience with basic scripting is a must.
Previous experience with various generations of Intel and AMD architectures is expected.
Previous experience with Apple MAC OS X cluster and Power5 architectures is preferred.
