Web Development Project Manager in Boston, MA

Quantronix is seeking an experienced Web software development project manager to support National Financial and Registered Investment Advisor groups as well as their clients. The projects involve developing brokerage functions and tools used by Brokers, Investment Advisors, and Financial Planners. In this role, the candidate will work with business and technology groups in establishing project teams and will provide overall direction for the technology development of projects from Initiation to Production Installation. This entails managing project teams consisting of members from multiple groups and sites, including off-shore. The scope of responsibilities center on managing moderate to complex technology projects. Additional project management responsibilities include project estimation, budget management, developing project planning strategies, establishing milestones / schedules, maintaining & reporting project status, and monitoring activities of all team members. Major Responsibilities The scope of responsibilities can include managing one or more complex projects or processes based upon the size of the various efforts. ? Establish/manage project teams ? Project estimating, planning, scheduling, budget tracking and reporting ? Manage project scope and risks ? Develop/propose project solutions ? Resolve issues/escalate as required ? Supports/identifies project management best practices and process improvements. ? Seasoned technical knowledge in web software development and solid/seasoned knowledge of project management methodologies ? 5 to 7+ years of strong technical project management experience. ? BA/BS required. ? Formal system project life-cycle methodology experience. ? 2 to 4 years background in one or more technical disciplines (QA, software engineering, systems analysis, operations), possessing aptitude towards all disciplines. ? Financial services and investments brokerage knowledge is REQUIRED. ? Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, communication and influence. ? Demonstrated ability to balance priorities of simultaneous projects. ? Strong judgment, issues management and problem analysis and resolution techniques. ? Ability to work in a matrix environment with 5 or more technology teams. ? Proven ability to effectively manage own time.
