DATABASE ARCHITECT (#8708069) in Boston, MA

This is a Senior ETL Architect/Lead position for a database services group to help with conversion and data warehousing projects. An ETL architect will be responsible for leading ETL efforts in designing, developing, testing and implementing data warehouse and other subscriber feeds for all ETL processes. Define Informatica development standards and enforce best practices. Conduct code reviews and lead design reviews to assure compliance. Activities will involve project planning, participating in business requirements and project scope definition, project management, design and architecture including data models, ETL and BI applications, dimensional modeling and knowledge transfer. Conduct user meetings and reviews. Delivering innovative business solutions. Knowledge, Skills and Education Required: " ETL design, development, configuration management and administration experience in Informatica (7.x preferred) " 7+ years hands on Database development in DB2/UDB and SQL Server. Would consider 3+ years experience in DB2/UDB development with 1+ years experience in SQL Server development. " Experience with knowledge transfer, transition of systems and mentoring " Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills " On the job experience in data warehouse and datamart development " Provide leadership for solutions. " Experience with design of large scale ETL solutions integrating internal and external sources. " Experience using a development methodology, including project planning and estimating. " Experience in analyzing, collect and produce business requirements. " Recommend hardware and software configuration. " Experience in producing detailed technical specs.
