Systems Support Analyst (#8847873) in Boston, MA

Quantronix is looking for Senior Systems/Business Analyst to work at our Client's site. Our client is a very large Investments firm, handling over $ 500 Billion in assets. The portfolio accounting system requires systems support both intraday and during a nightly batch cycle. This requires an understanding of operational data flows and portfolio accounting. Currently, a team of systems analysts performs this function on a rotating basis in addition to their regular project-related tasks. The Systems Support Analyst will review and document current support procedures to be used for training and reference purposes by future support personnel. The candidate should also review current procedures and identify opportunities for improvement that reduce systems downtime and automate any unnecessary manual support processes. Daily Activities: - This person will work with business users, systems analysts and software engineers to document current support procedures and identify opportunities for streamlining and automation. - The support analyst will also spend some time shadowing the existing support team to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and documentation of nightly batch cycle support. Note: Experience working with financial services, banking and investment related areas is required. The candidate should have support experience in a batch cycle environment. Experience with relational databases and database queries is desirable.

Requirements:

Required Skill/Experience: - Minimum 6 years experience in Business Analysis. - Minimum 6 years experience in Writing System Specifications. - Minimum 6 years experience in Systems Support. - Experience in Project Management/Microsoft Project is desirable. - Experience in Batch Cycle Exposure is desirable. - Experience in PL/SQL is desirable. Education/Experience: ? Bachelors degree in MIS or related field. ? Diverse job experiences in System Support.
