Healthcare Payor from the claims side experience is a MUST. The right candidate will have functioned at the VP level and will have had several direct reports under them, and will have reported into a CIO/CTO/CEO directly. Our direct customer is currently seeking a Vice President for their Applications Delivery team. This person will report into the CIO, and will have 5 direct reports, both Directors and Managers and an Administrative Assistant. The right candidate must have several years of experience in the Healthcare Claims/Payor industry, and will have proven experience delivering enterprize wide applications, from conception to production, including creating and maintaining budgets, leading large teams, both operations and IT, negotiating vendor contracts, delagating workload and must have the ability to function at the VP level, across several lines of business. Candidate should have experience working with Management and Healthcare Payer side of the business, as well as knowledge of health care claims. Looking for an individual who will have no problem managing a group that ranges in staff from 50-80 people. Will have 5 direct reports including 1 Manager, 3 Directors, and 1 Administrative Secretary. Candidate needs to have an understanding of the business environment and be able to work in a fast paced, agressive, project-oriented environment. Experience working in a UNIX / Microsoft Environment with Client Server knowledge a plus. This high visibility position requires an accomplished leader with an exceptional combination of technical proficiency, drive and energy to provide all software application services for Private Healthcare Systems and its customer base. This position requires a strong leader who will be responsible for setting architectural direction for application suites and integration and directs definition, development of sourcing, testing, implementation and support of application solutions for the company's business needs. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong background in management and healthcare. Additionally, he or she must be an excellent communicator, possess collaborative style and be able to operate at a VP level and effectively interface with senior management.
