Junior Project Manager in Boston, MA

Major Responsibilities: ? Works under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager to manage project implementations using IT's standardized "System Development Lifecycle" (SDLC) methodology. ? Works closely with business representatives to align project activities with business goals and deliver successful healthcare solutions. ? Manages cross-functional team(s)/workgroup(s) as assigned for projects and initiatives. Proactively manage project communications, scope, risk, budget, schedule, staff, quality, contracts, and provide ongoing integration. ? Coordinate technology/implementation plans with other divisions & project areas. PMP Certification study or course in process is a plus. Qualifications: (Knowledge, skills and abilities) Qualifications: ? Outstanding communication, negotiating, motivation, and facilitation skills. ? Track record of leadership & influence in cross-functional (i.e. non-hierarchical) projects/organizations. ? Strong multi-tasking, conflict resolution, & creative problem solving abilities. ? Broad understanding of information technology and its usage. ? Experience with large-scale systems development and implementation projects. Familiar with common documentation/artifacts such as process flows, use cases diagrams, wire-frames, test plans, bug reports, etc. ? Extensive experience with project scope management, risk management, task estimating/prioritization/planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource negotiation, and contracting. ? Strong attention to detail, process, deadlines and quality results. ? Proven track record of meeting project timeliness/deliverables Education/Relevant Experience: ? Minimum 3 - 5 years project management experience ? Minimum 3 - 5 years system implementation experience. ? Bachelor degree or relevant experience required; MBA or MS degree a plus. ?
