Oracle Financials GL Lead in Boston, MA

BearingPoint is currently searching for an experienced Oracle Financials GL Lead consultant.

Preference will be given to candidates local to our Boston office.

Description:
* Provide daily support for a user community of several thousand in 2 Operating Divisions.
* Work with end-users in solving problems found in their employment of Oracle Financials, focusing on General Ledger, but also touching on other Oracle modules, including Projects, Grants, Payables, Receivables, Purchasing, and System Administration.
* Troubleshoot accounting issues, functional issues.
* Learn the functional aspects of customizations built to meet client requirements not fulfilled in the standard Oracle Financials product.

Required Skills:
* Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Projects or Grants.
* Deep understanding of Oracle Applications functionality.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Experience with adhering to software development and configuration management process/procedures/standards.
* Ability to analyze users' business processes and needs, and convey a vision for improving their business in the context of employing Oracle Applications, through the addition of reports, queries, tools.
* Focus on reconciliation, audit support.

Preferred Skills:
* Previous consulting experience.
* Experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle SR/TAR's with Oracle Support.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills, which demonstrates confidence and fosters a "Trusted Advisor" relationship with the client.
* Understanding of data architecture and relationships, e.g., tables, views, indexes, standard application program interfaces, as basis for troubleshooting.
* Oracle SQL*Plus to build troubleshooting queries.

Required Industry Experience:
* 3 to 5 years of experience in an Oracle applications environment with recent skills in Oracle release 9.0 and 11i.
