Experience: You must possess the following qualities:
- Strong Systems Analysis skills - this is a hands-on role!
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Exceptional Client Relationship skills: you must be persuasive and influence people at many different hierarchical levels.
Required Background/Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of Systems Analysis experience. This is a very senior role.
- General Back Office experience with a cross section of the following areas: Trade Settlements, Reconciliation, Derivative Operations, Corporate Actions, Portfolio Accounting, etc. Broad overall experience in these areas, but you do not need to have exposure in all of these areas.
- Proven experience leading implementation projects with multiple parties, both internal and external, including managing budgets and resources.
- Experience managing ongoing system support activities.
- Experience working with service providers, ensuring service levels are met and technology solutions are successfully delivered.
- Strong knowledge of the investment lifecycle from trading, matching, and settlement through to corporate actions and reconciliation and their related back office practices.
- Industry knowledge of investment management systems.
- Understanding of relational databases and working knowledge of SQL.
Major Pluses to have
- Knowledge of collateral systems
- Experience working in iterative development environments and methodologies
- Exposure to SWIFT
- Leadership: Project Management skills. You will manage matrixed teams, but there will initially not be direct people management in terms of hiring and performance reviews.
