Amazing technical lead with Linux in Boston, MA

Our client has an immediate need for a Desk/Tech support Level 3 Technician with in-depth experience with Windows AND Linux.


Responsibilities
o Set up of new equipment, both loaned and purchased, tear down of old equipment
o Perform hardware troubleshooting and problem resolution, including coordinating repairs with vendors
o Installation and support of desktop software and applications, including operating systems, MS Office productivity tools, and email services
o Troubleshoot and resolve various file and print issues
o Assist in office relocations as required
o Manage trouble ticket queue: input, update and close tickets as work is completed
o Escalate trouble tickets in queue to appropriate resources and follow up to ensure completion within designated SLAs (Service level agreements)
o Other technical projects as required.

Requirements
o Minimum 1 to 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably supporting Software Engineering environments
o BS in Computer Science or equivalent
o In depth experience with Windows AND Linux operating systems.
o Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software problems
o Ability to resolve complex support issues, through research, testing and problem solving skills.
o Experience supporting shared services such as file/print
o Software engineering process experience (QA methodologies)
o Excellent communications skills (verbal & written) in English
