3rd Level IT Support Engineer in Boston, MA

72927 Are you a Network Engineer looking to work in a Downtown Boston company to provide 3rd level IT support to the Company Staff?

This contract job will have a key role in end-to-end infrastructure service delivery based on the following platforms: Windows, Exchange, Linux, Cisco, Avaya, and Lefthand. The person in this role will also solve complex problems relating to connectivity and application inter-operability. In addition to the above, the successful candidate for this position will have the following skill sets:

CCNP certifications.
Cisco, T1, DS0, multi-link, STP, VLAN, HSRP, troubleshooting.
SNMP setup and monitoring; use of packet Sniffers.
MCSE Windows 2K3 certification.
In depth understanding of SAN and NAS implementations; Left-hand a plus.
Unix Admin.
Load Balancing, Network Security, VPN, Firewall troubleshooting.
Must have a programming skills in one of the following areas:
VB scripting
Perl
4 year College Degree or equivalent.
At least 3-6 years in WAN Telecommunications
Any of the following a plus: IPC, Solarwinds, Lava, Linux.
Periodic weekend and off-hours support requirements.
May be required to travel to remote sites to assist with integration projects.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
No relocation is available for this position.
