Systems Analyst in Boston, MA

A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking an individual to be responsible for providing support for all user and laboratory PCs. Your duties will include: - Resolve PC infrastructure problems and/or user requests utilizing internal and external resources - Work with other IS/IT and Research Information Services areas to provide the local community with high customer satisfaction while complying with global infrastructure standards. - Follow, modify and create new support standard operating procedures, policies and processes as appropriate. You must be able to work in a team environment, by providing day-to-day technical leadership to fellow IT staff, documenting new procedures, and using and contributing to the global support knowledge base using knowledge management tools. Qualified candidates will have: - At least 3 years of relevant work experience with a demonstrated record of customer focus in a scientific research environment employing a corporate Windows infrastructure, with Windows XP at the desktop. - Ability to troubleshoot problems and follow through to resolution - Good written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, high-end customer service skills, and ability to work with all levels of company employees - High personal integrity, credibility, energy, and self-motivation. - Ability to quickly and accurately assess problems and take corrective action that will minimize negative impact to customer and time spent obtaining solution. - Demonstrated record in assessing and using information technologies.
