XP Rollout Technician in Boston, MA

Our client in Boston is looking for an experience PC support person with strong Windows and Ghosting experience.
Job Summary:
Responds to inquiries and requests for assistance with the organization's computer systems or PC's. Identifies problems, troubleshoots and provides advice to assist users. Coordinates with other IS areas to resolve problems if necessary. Assists in analyzing, planning, designing, and installing new personal computer systems and peripherals. Tracks and reports on all issues on a daily basis.

Key Functions:

- Work directly with internal clients to troubleshoot various IT related issues including but not limited to PCs monitors and printers.

- Develop images using ghost software.

- Record track and report on all issues through to completion.

- Provide assistance/training on desktop applications.

- Maintain repair troubleshoot and upgrade PCs laptops printers and related peripherals.

- Assist in ensuring the stability of LAN/WAN connections.

- Perform other tasks and duties as requested.

- Assist in maintaining client network accounts and new client setup.
Qualifications:

- Experience with Microsoft Applications including Office Visio Project PowerPoint.

- Experience working with MS Active Directory Infrastructure.

- Experience with MS Exchange /Outlook environments.

- Experience with Symantec suite of products such as Ghost PC Anywhere and Norton Anti-Virus.

- Experience with other Client-Server applications such as Crystal Reports Cognos & Facets a plus.

- Experience with Microsoft Operation Systems including 2000 & XP.
